Lead with this
The simple move that separates creators who pop from creators who blend in.
An old-school newsroom trick
When I was an intern at the Los Angeles Times, my assigning editor would skim my draft, draw a thick line through the first five paragraphs, and growl, “start here - this is where you finally stop clearing your throat.” The trick, I learned, was to write long, find the one line with a pulse, then lead with it.
Creators today are basically micro-journalists—shooting, writing, and publishing their own stories in real time. The old newsroom tricks still work:
Draft the whole caption or VO.
Hunt for the sentence only you would say.
Polish it. Move it to the very top.
Your personality lands in second 1 instead of getting buried in paragraph 8—so your audience actually sees it before they swipe away.
Your assignment: On your next reel, write the caption or VO long. Find the one line that sounds unmistakably like you—then move it to the very top. Tag @seekeasy.ai and we’ll share it on our feed and in the next Drop.
Proof the hook wins
“It was at this moment that I knew I had messed up.”
That’s the first line of this reel from @_wheresthefoodat.
The next second rewinds the scene and pulls you into the story. I won’t spoil the narrative, but check out the results:
On an account with 25K followers.
A 25× reach multiplier, powered by one, unmistakably personal hook.
Here are five more reels where creators pulled in views at least 10 times bigger than their follower counts.
Do not eat a raw cashew
1.2M views on 43.7K followers (25x)
Texas BBQ is trending in the bay area, but is your pit master really from Texas + the money food shot
827K views on 47K followers (17x)
$49 bottles of Veuve
424K views on 36.6K followers (11X)
All you can eat Omakase
215K views on 14.7K followers. (14X)
You find a korean/thai fusion aesthetic brunch spot
169K views on 16.4K followers (10X)
Reality check
One reel won’t make you huge. Every creator on this list has logged ~500-plus posts—some, well over a thousand.
The hook earns the view, but the catalogue earns the follow.
Your reels deserve better
Introducing Seeekasy Creator Profiles
Instagram rewards volume—but what about all the great content you’ve already made? Most reels get 24 hours of attention, then vanish into the ether.
We built Seekeasy Creator Profiles to fix that. Your reels become evergreen, organized into searchable collections that showcase your unique Taste Profile and expertise.
Check out the demo.

Ok, that’s a wrap for this week.
Find your hook. Make it yours. Build your body of work.
(And maybe score a pretty sweet T-shirt while you’re at it.)
